Please note that Smartrade Ltd/Magellanimports does not offer credit terms. All sales are on a cash-before-delivery or payment-on-collection basis.
The invoice issue date is considered the due date, and full payment is required on or before this date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Shipping Timeframe

All orders are shipped on the same day or the next working day after payment is received.

Pickup from our warehouse is welcome during business hours. Please contact us in advance to arrange a suitable time.
Shipping Methods
We use a combination of courier services and freight companies, depending on the size and weight of the items:

Items under 25kg and within standard courier dimensions will be shipped directly to the delivery address provided.

Items over 25kg or exceeding courier size limits will be sent via freight company to the nearest depot.
Customers will need to collect their items from the depot.
Return Shipping Costs
If a return is required due to a defect in the product or an error on our part (such as receiving the wrong item), we will cover the cost of return shipping.
For all other returns — including change of mind, incorrect selection, or other reasons not caused by us — the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.
Depot Pickup Instructions
- When collecting from a freight depot, please:
- Inspect the goods carefully on-site before signing the delivery.
- If any damage is found:
- Take clear photos immediately
- Refuse to sign for the goods
- Report the issue to the depot staff directly
- Email Smartrade Ltd within one working day with full details and photos
This process is essential to help us lodge a claim with the freight company and arrange a replacement where applicable.
Delivery Follow-up
If you do not receive your order within 7 days of receiving the Shipping Notification Email from Smartrade Ltd, please contact us immediately so we can follow up with the courier or freight provider on your behalf.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in ensuring a smooth delivery experience.
Storage Fees
Storage Fees for Sold Products
To assist with logistics and pickup planning, Smartrade Ltd/Magellanimports offers free storage for up to 7 calendar days from the invoice date or the date of notification that the goods are ready for collection (whichever is later).
From the 8th day onward, storage fees will apply as follows:

Small Items (≤25kg or ≤0.05m³):
$50 + GST per week -
Large Items / Palletised Goods / Equipment:
$200 + GST per pallet or parcel per week
Storage Fees for Repaired or Unrepaired Equipment
We aim to deliver timely and professional repair services. Once repair work is completed, or if repairs cannot proceed due to customer-related reasons (such as lack of approval, missing parts, or non-response), customers are expected to collect their equipment within 7 days of notification.
To ensure fair use of workshop and yard space, storage fees will apply from the 8th day onward, as outlined below:

Small Equipment (e.g. small tools, parts):
$50 + GST per week -
Standard Machinery (e.g. mini excavators, compact units):
$100 + GST per week per item -
Large Machinery (requiring pallet, yard, or trailer space):
$200 + GST per week per item
These charges apply whether the repair was completed or not, if the delay in collection is due to customer inaction.
If you require extended storage or have special circumstances, please contact us to discuss options. Otherwise, storage fees will be applied automatically without further notice.
Restocking Fee Policy
Restocking Fee Policy
We have a restocking fee for returns due to customer reasons. The policy is as follows:
Restocking Fee
A 15% restocking fee will be applied to all returned products that meet the conditions outlined below. The fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
Applicable Situations
Customer-initiated returns: If the return is due to a change of mind, incorrect size, or other personal reasons, rather than a product defect or shipping error, the restocking fee will apply.
Product Condition: The returned product must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging. If the product does not meet these conditions, additional fees may apply or the return may be declined.
Product defects or shipping errors: If the return is due to a product defect or an error on our part, no restocking fee will be charged.
Return Conditions
Return requests must be made within 7 days of purchase and meet the criteria outlined in our return policy.
A valid proof of purchase (such as an invoice or order receipt) must be provided with the return.
Fee Calculation
The restocking fee will be calculated based on the actual purchase price of the returned product, excluding shipping costs. If the product is damaged, used, or missing packaging, additional evaluation may be required, and further charges may apply.
Refund Process
Once the returned product has been inspected and confirmed to meet our return policy, a refund will be issued, deducting the restocking fee from the total refund amount.
Special Terms
Certain products (such as customized items, perishable goods, etc.) may not be eligible for return or may be subject to different terms.
